So, at work today, I was in a full day blog training. It was interesting and I learned a few really good things, one of them being copyright policies and where to find re-usable images. I don’t remember ever being too worried about that issue when taking pictures from Google. Hey, it’s there, so it must be alright to use. I guess, it was a rude awakening to the idea that I might be involved in something unethical and illegal.
Though, let’s face it. For most of people this may not be an issue at all. Hey, who doesn’t download music illegally (just for the record, I don’t), so taking images off a search engine isn’t such a big deal. Well, it sort of is for me now. Ugh. Anyways, this post is about Kpop siblings. Now, let’s hope there are images on Google that I can actually use without any issues. I’m sure I won’t be perfect but I’ll still try.
What I discovered while searching for the images was that none of the images were marked as creative common. What does one do in that case? Should I leave this post as it is because I shouldn’t infringe on anyone’s rights but does that mean that I can never use an image from Google again? Most folks don’t go through the trouble of actually marking an image as creative common. So, in that case, is the onus is on us or on them?
On the other hand, a post without a picture get’s less views and is not appreciated. So, what does one do in that case? Perhaps I can include any random reusable image related to Kpop. For now, I shall use images from Google but I would love to know the answers to the questions above.
